The Cat's Out of the Bag: There's a Little Something Special in Here!

Yay! Oh yay! Oh yay! We are so excited that we are going to have a new member of the Ledbetter/Wiggins clan. Sommer and Jon will be due November. Can't wait to find out what's it's going to be!
In other, less exciting and more mundane news, Dad is really proud of the deal he got on these socks.

This Week's Class with Skip:

This week, we went on an outdoor shoot. I never realized how photographers have to chase the daylight. We were bookin' it to keep up with the sun! Above are some pictures of Jessica Baumhower (Skip's 16-year-old daughter), the window of the barn she was in, a cute man in my class, a clock tower, and rushing water. With the water, we were studying the effects of a really slow shutter speed (capturing motion). Trying to get better!

Still Learning (but still forgetting to charge the camera!)

Here are the pictures I took at the first photography class at church with Skip Baumhauwer. It was really fun and very educational. (It was total information-overload. I took 4 pages of notes!) It was really neat how he brought in models.

Model #1:
One-Eyed Willy - a dog from the local pound. He was really sweet and I hope he gets adopted soon.

Model #2:
Amos Kennedy - a former computer programmer who quit to follow his dream of becoming a printing artist. He is at Kentuck selling his posters every year. He brought some of his printing letters with him. He was a very interesting man. I liked his boots.

Girl Time = Craft Time

For our weekly girl time, Mom has been coming up with some cute crafts for us to do lately. We have been learning to crochet (which I stink at, but Sommer is really good), and this week we put these really cute flowers on sweaters to jazz them up a bit.

P.S. Please pray for our Mawmaw Clara. Craft time was cut a little short on this day because she was in surgery and has been having some health problems.

Let's Go Surfin' Now...

We had a good time at another one of Mom's fun theme parties. This time we had Beach Boys night! We listened to Beach Boys (Which, surprisingly, Jon knew most of the lyrics to.), ate lots of yummy seafood, and played some games. (We even used the ironing board as a surfboard.) We had a really good time.
(By the way, this is my first time using Photoshop to compile pictures, so sorry if it looks stinky.)
