GUADEVER!

 The children of Guatemala was one of the highlights for me and Tony.

They are just content to play with a ball or roll a wheel.  There aren't a lot of toys lying around.  As a matter of fact, I never saw any toys!  The kids at the Adonai day school were so appreciative of the guys building on to their school, they put on a little show for us.  It was a highlight of the trip, such a blessing!

 One of the guys took about 20 lbs of candy to hand out, so we were very popular in the neighborhood.

GOT GUAT? WOW, GUATEMALA!

 The people of Guatemala are so appreciative and thankful for any little thing you do, they want to reciprocate and give back.  Since this was a building trip, there were only three women, so we were greeted the first day with a dozen roses each.  Flowers are plentiful there.

 We removed a cabinet to put in two rooms, and sat it outside.  It wasn't out there very long before some kids were loading it on a wheelbarrow to take it home.  How innovative!  

 A simple football entertains a group of kids for hours.  Not many toys lying around

WHAT WOULD GRANDMA DO?

So we stopped to play at Chick-Fil-A playground the other day

Josiah, being the highly intelligent young man that he is, thought this slide was going to be hot.  It's yellow, it's shining brightly from the sun, so he wouldn't go in.  Just kept saying, "Hot!'

So, Of course, Grandma goes down with him to show him it wasn't hot.  Meanwhile, there's a kid stalled about halfway down.  Instead of running over the kid and getting in trouble for being too big and too old to be on the slide, I put down the only brake I had.

The kid was spared, but the elbow was not.
