BROWN'S CORNER

One of my new favorite places in Tuscaloosa is Brown's Corner
The corner of Greensboro and University, that is

It's three levels, and it has a piano bar

We met for some Saturday night Festivities. It was good food, and great company

CELEBRATION SATURDAY - A LOT OF GREAT PEOPLE WERE BORN IN AUGUST!

Saturday was the most fun packed into one day that I'd had in a long time.
First,  a group of us met and went to Brookwood Village to celebrate
Nora's birthday.  I hadn't been there in years, and it was totally redesigned.

We ate at Brio, a beautiful Italian restaurant.  It was so nice, we thought
we were in Europe.

Then we shopped, some more than others!

After that, I met Cathi, Debbie and the girls at the Summit to celebrate
Debbie's birthday.

We saw "The Other Guys" after shopping at my favorite store, Anthropologie.
It was hilarious!
Thank God for good times and great friends!!

THE BEACH IS STILL BEAUTIFUL!!

Despite the BP oil spill, the beach is still awesome.   Apparently the clean up crews are doing a great job,  we didn't see any oil at all!  Its a shame, however, the guy we rented the umbrellas from told up their business was down by 85%!!! That hurts!
It's still a beautiful place to enjoy God's creation and spend time with friends!

HAPPY NATIONAL FRIENDSHIP DAY!!

"A FRIEND LOVES AT ALL TIMES" PROV. 17:17

I thank God today and everyday for my friends.  The Lord has blessed me with so many AWESOME people in my life.

Some relatively new, awesome, sweet Christian friends invited me to the beach this week.  The sky was blue, the water was green (no oil), and the sand was sugar-white.  But the laughs - OMG - the LAUGHS!!

THEN... We had a 25th anniversary party for Nora and John Durham before the have to go back to work for the school year in Kazakhstan.
They were married in 1985, so we had an '80's party.  We dressed up '80's style, danced, and the food was superb!

IT WAS DIVINE!  Literally!  The RELATIONSHIP between people is where God  most awesomely shows his love.  ITS THE TIES THAT BIND!  Think about it!
